چکیده

Pectinolytic enzymes are an important tool for sustainable food production, with a wide range of applications in processing technologies as well the extraction bioactive compounds from pectin-rich raw materials. In present study, we immobilized commercial pectinase preparation onto pellet and thread shaped nylon 6/6 carriers assessed its stability reusability. Five preparations were tested different pectin de-polymerizing activities (pectinase, polygalacturonase, lyase activities). Thereafter, Pectinex® Ultra Tropical preparation, exhibiting highest catalytic among studied (p < 0.0001), was on using dimethyl sulfate glutaraldehyde. The immobilization yield accordance carrier surface area available enzyme attachment, it 1.25 ± 0.10 U/g threads, which over 40 times higher than that pellets. However, inactivation not dependent shape carrier, indicating attachment similar. half-life fast phase at 4 °C 12.8 days. After 5 weeks, unused threads retained 63% their initial activity. Reusability study showed after 20 successive cycles remaining activity 22%, good prospects reusability industrial application.

Role of Pectinolytic Enzymes Identified in Clostridium thermocellum Cellulosome

The cloning, expression and characterization of three cellulosomal pectinolytic enzymes viz., two variants of PL1 (PL1A and PL1B) and PL9 from Clostridium thermocellum was carried out. The comparison of the primary sequences of PL1A, PL1B and PL9 revealed that these proteins displayed considerable sequence similarities with family 1 and 9 polysaccharide lyases, respectively. PL1A, PL1B and PL9 ...

Investigation of Mechanical Properties Prediction of Synthesized Nylon-66/Nano-Calcium Carbonate Composites

In this research, the influence of adding micro- and nano- sized calcium carbonate powders to nylon-66 was investigated. Mechanical properties of micro and nano- composites, including tensile strength, elongation, and Young’s modulus, before and after ageing, were determined and analyzed. For this purpose, micro- and nano-sized CaCO3 particles were used as fillers to prepare micro-composites (c...

Influence of Pectinolytic Enzymes on Retting Effectiveness and Resultant Fiber Properties

Enzymes have the potential to provide an improved method to ret flax for textile fibers. Retting is the separation or loosening of fiber bundles from the cuticularized epidermis and the woody core cells. New commercial pectinase products were evaluated both with and without ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) for retting efficiency. The Fried Test identified the most efficient enzymes and be...
